Tracking means that when the system is transitioning from one cue to the next, it applies only those settings that have changed from the previous cue.

If a property/attribute does not change from one cue to the next then the system will not attempt to apply the setting.

The channels do not reset themselves between cues if nothing has changed from the previous cue, hence avoiding the possibility of undesirable behaviour occurring between cues.
